Peanut Butter Toast Your Way
Adding peanut butter (or any nut butter for that matter) is a great source of protein. Up the anti with the addition of fruit too – simply delicious!
Servings: 1 bariatric serve
Calories: 304kcal
Ingredients
- 1 slice wholegrain, rye or sourdough bread
- 1.5 tbsp natural peanut butter or nut butter of your choice
- 1/2 cup fruit for example, strawberry, banana or pear
Instructions
- Toast the bread. Spread with peanut butter and top with sliced fruit.
Notes
- A natural nut butter is a great way to add protein to a piece of toast. Try almond, cashew, macadamia, peanut or a blend. Ricotta also works well if you’d prefer.Â
- When choosing a bread, the grainier the better. Wholegrain, rye or sourdough are all good low GI options that will fill you up and keep you fuller for longer.Â
- If you’re feeding others, 2 bariatric serves are equal to one regular, non-sleeved serve. Use the slider above to adjust the serving sizes you need.Â
