New products are always popping up on supermarket shelves. Here are some of the newer options I’ve been using lately that are sleeve-friendly. They’re better options than the regular as they are higher in protein, fibre or are a sneaky way to get some more veg into your day. Have you tried these? Are there others you enjoy? Feel free to comment below!

San Remo’s Pulse Pasta range uses pulses such as peas, lentils, chickpeas and borlotti beans instead of the traditional wheat. As it’s made from legumes, this pasta has almost double the protein and triple the fibre than regular pasta and is gluten free for those who need it. A great way to make every mouthful count if you’re going to have some pasta, just remember to serve with protein and veg so you’re making the most of your meal.
Wildly Good Falafel Bites are a great addition to the fridge! 4 falafels will roughly give you 6g protein and 2-3g fibre for only 150 calories depending on the variety you choose. These make a great base for a super simple dinner or an easy snack if you’re hungry between meals. I found these in Woolworths.
I’m a big fan of Farmers Union Greek Style Yoghurt and this high protein variety packs a nutritional punch. A 125g serve (around 1/2 cup) will give you 8g protein and 345mg calcium with only 0.1g saturated fat. I love this one as it’s a plain flavour so can be used in savoury and sweet dishes – I use it on muesli in the morning, serve with fruit as a snack and dollop on curry in the evening!
The yoghurt section is always on the move! This is a new addition which is a great option if you need a little flavour. A single serve pot will give you 12g protein for only 80 calories and 2g of sugar. They have used Stevia for flavour rather than other artificial sweeteners like aspartame and there are lots of flavours available!
