Ingredients

  • 1 slice wholegrain, rye or sourdough bread
  • 1.5 tbsp natural peanut butter or nut butter of your choice
  • 1/2 cup fruit for example, strawberry, banana or pear

Instructions

  • Toast the bread. Spread with peanut butter and top with sliced fruit.

Notes

  • A natural nut butter is a great way to add protein to a piece of toast. Try almond, cashew, macadamia, peanut or a blend. Ricotta also works well if you'd prefer.
  • When choosing a bread, the grainier the better. Wholegrain, rye or sourdough are all good low GI options that will fill you up and keep you fuller for longer.
  • If you’re feeding others, 2 bariatric serves are equal to one regular, non-sleeved serve. Use the slider above to adjust the serving sizes you need.
